1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Nyoma (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and the apps and features we provide. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Nyoma.
2. The service
Nyoma is an invite-only service that gives members drop-in, self-hosted alternatives to popular platforms — such as storing photos and videos in Immich and media in Jellyfin. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Eligibility and access
Access to Nyoma is by invitation. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your location) and provide accurate information when you register. Invites and accounts are personal to you and may not be transferred without our permission.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your account information accurate and up to date, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload, store, or share content that is illegal or that you do not have the right to use.
- Abuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
- Use the service in a way that exceeds or circumvents the storage and feature limits of your membership tier.
- Use Nyoma to harm others or violate their rights.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you bring to Nyoma. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content solely as needed to provide the service to you. You are responsible for the content you upload and represent that you have the rights necessary to do so.
7. Third-party services
Nyoma lets you connect external services such as Apple, Snapchat, Google, and Spotify, and relies on tools such as Immich and Jellyfin. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms, and you are responsible for complying with them. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.
8. Membership tiers and perks
Your account belongs to a membership tier, and the apps and perks available to you depend on that tier. Tiers and perks may change, and we do not guarantee that any particular app or feature will be available indefinitely.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. You may delete your account at any time; deletion follows the process described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will always be available. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important content.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nyoma will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.
